Sports day 2025 is planned for the afternoon of Tuesday the 1st of July and will run from approximately 1.45pm – 3.15pm.
Gates will open at 1.40pm.
Parents will be able to spectate from the perimeter of the field/playground, where you’ll be able to encourage all children taking part in the different activities.
As was the case last year, children will be in mixed age groups from across the school and circulating around a carousel of different activities which will include a variety of sports and skills. Following your feedback from last year, siblings will be in the same groups, allowing you to more easily track your children.
Your child will be bringing their PE kit home on or before 30th June. Please make sure they come in PE kit on the day of 1st July. They will be in PE kit all day; if they have PE later in the week, then please send their PE kit back in and leave it in school, as is normal practice.
Please also ensure that your child has a water bottle with them for the day and a jumper and a coat. If the weather is looking especially hot, they will also need a sun hat. Whilst we’re hoping for a sunny day, the weather has cooled a little this week and it is highly likely we will get some light rain on the day. As always, we may have to take a decision the day before or on the day, if the forecast changes to unfavourable weather and it no longer feels sensible to go ahead.
At the end of the event, children will go back inside to classrooms to collect their belongings and will exit as usual at 3.30pm, for you to collect in the normal way.
FOSS will be at the event and selling refreshments for spectators. This will be cash only so come prepared.
